This is BIG!

Welcome back, my legacists, to Sector V!

Well after another series of months with no insight on the game, we finally have something to follow off of! I recently checked the Fusionfall Legacy Facebook Page and apparently it's closing March 1st. Keep in mind i only found this out after our glorious BeccaNighteon went and hinted that the forum was closing.

This page that represented another instance of a FusionFall recreation project is being closed down as the original FusionFall Legacy group has reclaimed their name and finally opened their own page. This page will be hidden from the public on March 1, 2015.
BUT WAIT!!!

The news doesn't end there, don't shut yourselves down.
I read on and found that a NEW (yes again! After two forums.) facebook page is being opened. The old cast (including our godly Wilttilt), the founders of  FusionFall Legacy, are coming back to set things straight, and get this game back on track. The old updates to the forum were getting a bit stale, with nobody replying. This is a fresh slate however. Here's a quote from the Facebook Page.

Greetings, FusionFall community.
It's been awhile since any of you have heard me make any sorts of announcements in regards to FusionFall. However, I will no longer be holding a cap on what has been going on behind the scenes, especially now that this 'new' Legacy group has gone out of hand.
With this all being said, I am pleased to announce that the ORIGINAL founders of the FusionFall Legacy project (including Wilttilt, myself, and several other talented members) are reclaiming our name and offering a new sense of hope to you all.
No more games. No more embarrassments, and most of all, no more false hopes. Right now, our project among the corrupted many (no offense to anyone has tried, I respect you for that) has the most complete and accurate representation of the original Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall.
Right now there aren't very many questions that I can go and answer, but just so you are all informed, this Facebook page is no longer the official page of the FusionFall Legacy project. If you wish to continue to follow development of the recreation of FusionFall, I highly suggest you visit http://facebook.com/theFFLcommunity
Thank you all for your concerns. Stay tuned.
Kind regards,
Jake MagnavoX (dex7322)

This gets my hopes high! Remember guys, patience is a virtue. The former Legacy group that resigned did have quite some issues, but you are free to decide for yourself.
So i checked the new facebook page and things are REALLY shaping up! Take a look at these quotes I found.
"We begin to showcase features on our social media outlets tomorrow morning! Every day between Monday and Friday, we will be sharing screenshots and letting you all in on what's coming!"
(Note: Some content we share may be exclusive to our different social media sites, so be sure to follow or subscribe to each of our pages on such sites!)

The page has already gotten recognition. You guys go ahead and check the page for yourself!

It's Been So Long!

Welcome back my legacists to Sector V!

After about a month, we finally gained more ground on the ga- Wait.....false alarm!
We have an update for the site. It's changed a LOT over the past months. Did you know this is the third forum? I was there during the second, but the first one is a mystery to me. There's a thread going on there where a person starts off a story and we continue it adding on to it. It's gone so far and became on of the most popular threads there. My name there is....well... Shonex. And I play the character Lea and his nanos.
Be on the lookout for more updates, I'll get back to you guys more often, thats a promise. And remember.

It's no secret that Xiaomi had a banner year in 2014 and became one of the world's largest smartphone makers, but now we know just how large. The Chinese company has revealed that it sold 61.1 million smartphones in 2014, or more than three times the 18.7 million it managed in 2013. It's hard to compare that to rivals without getting more hard numbers, but it's safe to say that this fledgling firm (it was only founded in 2010) is easily outperforming companies that are old hands at the smartphone game, like LG and Sony.

Xiaomi definitely isn't making much profit on all those extra phones, though. Its sales "merely" jumped 135 percent in 2014, to 74.3 billion yuan ($11.97 billion). While that's huge for a business that hasn't even celebrated its fifth birthday, the data shows
that the company is leaning on razor-thin profit margins and low-priced devices (such as the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note) to pull ahead. It's no wonder that Samsung is hurting lately, especially in China -- Xiaomi is willing to sacrifice a lot to achieve market domination.
As if to underscore the point, Xiaomi has already unveiled its first phone of the year, the Redmi 2. The 4.7-inch Android handset delivers a 64-bit capable (if low-end) Snapdragon 410 chip, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter and dual-SIM LTE data for just 699 yuan, or $112. That's a lot of phone for the money, folks. It goes on sale in China on January 9th, and there's a good chance that it'll be popular both in its homeland as well as Xiaomi's other big markets, like India. You aren't at all likely to see the Redmi 2 officially reach Western nations like the UK or US, but it probably won't have to in order to become a rousing success.

Xbox One developers can now use more of the console's CPU power, according to a recent report on its latest software development kit (SDK) from Eurogamer's Digital Foundry.

The latest update gives developers access to a seventh core (out of a total of eight) on Xbox One's CPU. Microsoft can now allow developers to use more of Xbox One's CPU as it continues to use less of the CPU itself for background operations related to Kinect's infrared and voice detection capabilities.

If developers want to use the seventh CPU core, they have to give up voice detection along with other Kinect functionality. However, even if they do, a user can still choose to use system-level voice commands, which will automatically use as much as 50 percent of that seventh core, causing problems for the developer. According to Digital Foundry, the leaked SDK also indicated that Microsoft intends to address this issue in future updates.

The only reason we know about these changes is because a hacking group called H4LT recently leaked the latest version of Xbox One's SDK. It's been suggested that the leaked SDK will allow developers to start creating homebrew applications or pirate games for Xbox One, but encryption technologies and server-side authentication mean that the SDK mostly a curiosity, at least for now.

This long holiday weekend hasn't been a good one for gamers. Both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network were taken offline over Christmas, just as hundreds of thousands unwrapped their new consoles and plugged them in for the first time. But now, nearly three days after both services went offline, gamers are now free to play online once again.

PlayStation Network engineers brought the service back online on Saturday, and Microsoft had Xbox Live back up and running on Friday. Sony has confirmed in a blog post that its network was victim to a distributed denial of service attack (DDoS), which overwhelmed its servers with "artificial," or junk traffic. It's believed Xbox Live was subjected to the same attack.

The hacker group Lizard Squad has taken credit for the outages, but the group said on Twitter that it had ceased attacks late on Christmas day after receiving a several hundred dollars' worth of gift cards from Kim Dotcom. It's not clear what kept Sony's service offline for so much longer after the attacks were reportedly ceased.

Search planes involved in the hunt for the missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 have spotted objects in the sea.
Officials involved in the search said an Australian plane had spotted the objects, which are in an area of interest and will be examined further.
The missing jet was carrying 162 people and disappeared more than 24 hours ago whilst travelling from Indonesia to Singapore

The search for the aircraft was expanded today with planes and ships from several countries taking part.
The Foreign Office has confirmed that a British national was on board the plane.

There's no denying it: lots of people like Game of Thrones, and a good portion of those fans have no problem illegally downloading the show to enjoy it. For the third year in a row, the HBO series is the most torrented TV show of the year, according to TorrentFreak's analysis. The site monitors data available on large public trackers like The Pirate Bay, as well as additional info, to estimate how many times a particular file has been downloaded.
The analysis is far from a precise science, but the site has concluded that Game of Thrones episodes were downloaded

8.1 million times from peer-to-peer file sharing sites. That far surpasses the other shows in the top five, The Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and Gotham, all of which have fewer than 5 million downloads each.
The people who like Game of Thrones also like to torrent
It will be interesting to see what happens to these numbers come next year. HBO's highly anticipated over-the-top steaming service is expected to launch day-and-date with the Game of Thrones season five premiere in April. Some justify torrenting by saying it's one of the only ways to watch the show as soon as new episodes premiere without paying for a costly cable subscription.

If you're a console gamer, you're probably all too aware of Lizard Squad, the hacker outlet that allegedly knocked both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live offline for a good chunk of the Christmas break. But just why and how is this group causing so much grief? Thanks to the Daily Dot, we now have a better (if imperfect) idea of what's going on. It might not shock you to hear that the team is doing this both for laughs, à laLulzSec, and to expose the "incompetence" of the security teams at Microsoft and Sony. However, they also claim to have access to undersea internet cables and other "core routing equipment" that lets them flood networks with

massive amounts of data. They supposedly bombarded PSN and XBL at a rate of 1.2 terabits per second, or three times the rate of the previous largest attack on record.

It's tough to know just how capable Lizard Squad really is. It's fond of bragging, including boasts that the group suffers from "undoxability syndrome" (that is, you could never identify anyone involved). Some would also argue that denial of service attacks like this aren't all that sophisticated, even if they reportedly required hacks to get all the necessary bandwidth. The group doesn't appear to be having as much success breaking the Tor anonymity network as it did with Microsoft and Sony. However, there aren't exactly a lot of hacker outfits that can say they've disabled two gaming networks at once -- at the least, it's worth taking the team's threats seriously

    Battle Islands:Review

Battle Islands is a game which in our opinion simulates life as pirates where you can
attack islands and manage your island. The game is a free-to-play game on Steam. The advantages to this game is that it is small in size (180MB).The game also is an alternative to the game on
mobile platform's:Boom Beach except Battle Islands has a more logical name
and easily 70% better graphics.Battle Islands payment methods are Cash and Gold.Battle
Islands offers a wonderful gameplay experience. The YGF team will soon release a gameplay video

    Get Off My Lawn:Review

Get Off My Lawn is a game about an old man named Murray Mendelson who lives with his pet dog.One day a UFO came by.A little alien came out and was giving him a present. But the old man just got his musket and shot that poor little alien. From then,he had started war with those aliens. So the game is about a 78 year old man that shoots aliens. This game seems
more like Plants vs Zombies but easier yet challenging to play.In our opinion, the game
is fun and addicting but could use a better animating job.But in overall performance. The game is small in size and requires very little R.A.M.The game is free to play on Steam.Soon, the team
will add a gameplay of this game on the YGF Youtube Channel

In other unrelated news,Samsung asks appeals court to throw out $930 million damages in Apple infringement case
Twenty years ago, a small-sized grey box of electronic tricks made its debut in Japan, heralding the birth of the global gaming phenomenon that changed the entertainment landscape, launching titles that now outstrip sales from Hollywood's biggest franchises.

The first PlayStation, which hit stores before Christmas in 1994, brought amazing graphics, engrossing gameplay and the kind of complex virtual worlds that had only been available
    in arcades.

"When we arrived, the video game was seen as a niche hobby. One of our achievements is to have succeeded in making a legitimate cultural object, like music or cinema," Jim Ryan, chief executive of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, told AFP.

The launch was Sony's first foray into computer games and pitted the company against the established giant of the sector, Nintendo, whose character-driven two-dimensional offerings like Super Mario had wowed children.

    Back on Track! -Fusionfall Legacy

Welcome back to Sector V legacists!

This is a special report to tell you that a new community forum has been created for Fusionfall Legacy! Everything is back on track now and we're continuing production for Fusionfall Legacy. We would appreciate the support you give us in recreating the game. The more support we get, the more of a chance that Fusionfall Legacy has a chance of releasing it's demo. Just so you guys can visit the site for yourself, here's the link   http://fusionfalllegacy.forumotion.com/portal . Thanks for taking the time to read this guys. And PLEASE take in mind that we're not gonna be like Cartoon Network and release an update just randomly without letting you guys know! That's what I'm here for! So please be patient and remember that we're trying our best. The first thing released will most likely be a demo, not the beta. This is where I sign out guys. See ya in Sector V!

-The Time is Now, The Hero is You-

    Tuesday 25 November 2014

Welcome back to Sector V my legacists!

    For those of you wondering
"Is this about the game itself?"
    "Are they gonna release it?"
    "Is it coming out soon?"
The answer to all of these questions is "No". Apparently the domain they're using is very small. So people have been constantly redirected to another site. Their CPU kept getting overfilled so they were redirected as soon as they clicked on the site link. The good thing is that their Facebook page is still working. So you can get updates there anytime you choose to.
This is likely to put a hold on development until they can get the domains switched. It shouldn't take too long though. They've already made it this far! So for those of you that are wondering, the game will most likely be released in 2015 or 2016. Okay, Okay, don't get your overalls in a knot. The upside to that is that the longer they take, the less buggy the game will be overall. Keep in mind that the first thing released will be a Demo. The Beta will come out late 2015 or early-mid 2016. So be patient! This is where I sign out guys, and remember.
